This special issue focuses on functional urological disorders, a rapidly evolving subspecialty of urology that centers on urinary storage and voiding dysfunctions, which severely impair patients' quality of life. It covers a broad spectrum of conditions including overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, neurogenic bladder, interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome and pelvic floor dysfunction. The issue aims to collate cutting-edge research on pathophysiological mechanisms, innovative diagnostic techniques such as urodynamics, and evidence-based treatment strategies including behavioral therapy, pharmacotherapy, and minimally invasive interventions.
